Ah. Thanks for this. I applied to steward again this before via email, but they havent got back to me yet.
I stewarded last year, it was a lot of fun. Must get a stewarding slot again. Only about 3 miles from my house and Truck is always great.

school attended? and are you our truck steward friend? Its not really anymore, but its quite local based/organised. So I think that is why it asks what school attended.

oh! and Truck steward friends? wha? It means that if you have any friends that are stewarding as well, you can sign put down their names so they can try and put you on similar shifts. I hope I get to steward, I really would be pretty miffed if I didn't... hey stu, how's it going? I was totally mythed about who you were for a second, but eventually clicked who you were when i re-read about you definately stewarding. But going well cheers. Long time no see (well speaking). Whats up?

Hey Stu, there ain't noth goin' on but good things... (that really doesn't sound convincing, does it?) iFoward Russia! are definitely playing, as are JetplaneLanding, so woo for truck for them! and someone else, I forget who. Check out www.drownedinsound.com, cos they've got most the announced details... ALSO possibilities are Mogwai (v. possibly), Super Furry Animals (prob not), Elbow (That wd be acess), Supergrass (Seriously), and various other AMAZING BANDS LIKE THAT (like the Go-Team) Honourable mentions go to: The Subways, DJ Hype, Lightning Bolt, Radiohead, The Beatles (reformed), Pink Floyd (Performing Piper at the gates of dawn with Syd Barrett), The Flaming Lips (maybe not this year...)

www.truckfestival.org/stewarding.phpbtw Julia pay's less this year because there are two shifts this year, and last year there were three. You can do extra shifts on an hourly pay-ness... Anyway, everyone send off forms soon, cos I think they're totally closing it down for applications this sunday, so I won't be able to do much after that...

Well, I know that they're all possibilities (up to Radiohead, that is...), with a couple of confirmations. Subways are playing last on Saturday night, iForward Russia!, JetplaneLanding, The Research, The Young Knives, Electric Soft Parade and The Schla La Las have all confirmed on their websites so far I *think*.
*You ain't seen me*

Yeah totally, they released an E.P. recently which I haven't heard, but I've seen them live a few times recently in Oxford, and they're still pretty damn good. Brakes'll probably be playing too, they've become a bit of a regularity. Mark Gardener, the singer from Million Dead, and various others like that. I think British Sea Power might be playing this year (fingers crossed), and apparently The Shins[/b] were possibilities. If only...

Oh, and I think (though this might have been in a wet dream I had) that Squarepusher is playing Saturday night. If he is, I might actually fall over!

whoops, she's not gonna after this particularly fine example of double postage, but i just need to ask: they haven't got in touch to confirm receipt of my stewarding application. should i panic wildly? re-send it? be patient? advise me Truck rep...

Yeah, I've not received any confirmation yet, so I'll probably phone up the committee member in charge and ask her to pick me up from the train station at the end of term... I mean inquire as to when people will find out about their stewardingness. I think it might not be till mid-April
