Rumours i've heard are The Futureheads and "a band who were gonna play, but had to cancel due to them going on a US tour, which has now been canceled due to illness, meaning Truck as a 1 off gig is a posibility" ...so The Subways then...
I've also heard that this special headliner is playing Reading/Leeds which is why they can't be announced until Reading/Leeds has COMPLETELY sold out, which gives weight to both rumours.

hmmm, seems likely that its the subways then really. mogwai/shed seven are probably a bit too big, and there were loads of rumours about the subways playing ages ago. tis a shame really. when they talk about a special headliner, i would have hoped for something a little more exciting.

Yeah, that sounds about right. They were the band that was gonna play... Ah well, I guess they're "fun" live. I'll be in the Barn listening to pulverising drum'n'bass whilst smashed off my face on anything I find lying around, until I get bored/confused, whereupon I'll end up walking around giving people high fives if the past, er, five years are anything to go by... You might think I'm kidding, but really, I'm not.
That's what I love about Truck on Saturday night...

Apparently they "want" to play, but then so do the Magic Numbers, and they ain't this year. To be honest, I've still got my fingers crossed for Chaz and Dave. They wrote a letter asking to play and everything! What nice blokes...

that would be cool. i was thinking about seeing them at glasto, but i think they clashed with someone i *really* wanted to see. i hear they went down a storm though.

The Magic Numbers sucked last year, they were really boring and butchered a Smiths song.

The Subways suck arse like nobody's business (except for Oh Yeah) but The Magic Numbers were great last year. Better than Biffy Clyro. You're right about the Smiths song though. Big error.

Magic Numbers better than Biffy? I know you live on another planet most of the time, Julia, but come on love. I can't see that ever happening, Biffy > most things.

The special headliners might be someone who is playing another festival... sometimes thats what happens... possibly... or they could just not have a clue about whos actually playing there yet.... there's a lot of that going around at the minute
