Truck was ay-may-zing! Best one yet. However - there seems to be a mysterious tradition of getting weeks of beautiful sunshine followed by a horrendous muddy downpour RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE TRUCK WEEKEND. Our shitey-shite Texan tent got flooded and we had to use an awful lot of toilet paper to soak up the rain. It was not comfortable. And apologies to the people I phoned in the middle of the night when we were BATTERED. And to Catie for making her seasick (pfft). Oh, and why in God's name did they give me a shift over Regina Spektor's set? And why is Simon so protective of his tent (which looks exactly like him)? And no-one is allowed to give Chris drugs ever again actually ever because he turns into some freaky uber hill-walker. And I'm a terrible camper, I spent quite a lot of Sunday in the bath. But yeah, apart from all that...it was great.

I'm protective of my tent because I didn't want it to end up like yours. I like not sleeping in puddles.

Hey there, it's moi! Sounds fun, kids. Meanwhile I'm in sunny Scotland (and on the forum-check me out!) And I have suntanned feet and ankles! Woot! But am v jealous of your time at Truck.

Sounds like you had a lot of fun. Sorry I didn't come in the end, but I'm kinda glad I didn't; was feeling quite rough over the weekend, and I don't think I would have coped very well with the whole sun/rain combo!

It wasn't the funnest time when it was raining during the day on Saturday...but it was quite funny when me, Catie and Lauren were trying to stop the gazebo from flying away, getting soaked in the process, only to take it down because there was no way it was gonna survive...
...then some fuckers pitched a tent right in the middle where the gazebo used to be while we were watching the bands...
Emmy the Great was my favourite of all the acts I saw over the weekend...A Scholar and A Physician, KTB (Chris' sister) and MC Lars were other highlights...Bannana smoothies and The toilets in the bands' camping area were amongst the non musicial highlights...

why in God's name did they give me a shift over Regina Spektor's set? Julia, maybe if you'd actually watched ANYONE AT ALL ON SUNDAY before Regina's set you might've felt a bit better about not seeing her. Did you go on the forecast where you can look at local maps? You can SEE the cloud heading North!

Good festival, though. Good festival...

Julia, maybe if you'd actually watched ANYONE AT ALL ON SUNDAY before Regina's set you might've felt a bit better about not seeing her. I did...I saw three bands...I just didn't want to see any of them as much as I wanted to see her I only had to sleep til 4 cus of the wild goose chase over the hill anyway. We didn't MEAN to go to your house!

good fun...and Chris was A MESS! HEE!!
And I did decide we should go to my house, but not until after we'd left the farm... I've made the pilgrimage to the top of the hill every year since I was 15(?)... Except last year, when I wasn't on enough drugs, and so was tired, and just went home through a field of cows instead. Which was also fun.
