I second Tom. Also I want to personally thank (again) all the committee, and anyone else that was involved who I dont know about, for arranging THE night of nights. Thank you so much, it was immense.

I may be a *littlle* bias but last night was...? I can't think of the words! What a fantastic night! My body aches from it, it was so good. Despite stressing out in the afternoon, the night went with a bang. If they read this, I really want to thank the bands, they were all absolutely brilliant, and, if no one minds me saying, Performance were orgasmic! I can't wait for the next single, let alone the album! I won't be surprise if the bands become great successes. Also, I think the the committee need a slap on the back, as well as Nat (thank you - shame about the stars!), Tom and Alex. And, wow! how many people turned up? And how many did we recruit?! Our numbers must have DOUBLED last night! I am so estatic everyone enjoyed it. And it was very cool to see so many familiar faces, surely the most successful Indie Soc night so far, thank you guys! It was so great to have people coming up and saying how rubbish the other venues where compared to ours (I am sure that isn't true though). Just WOW! I am still on a high... Photos will be up soon enough, I hope I got enough. Honestly, I was overwhelmed and went into awe rather than photo-taking mode.
Bitchin'!

umm, thanks for the slap on the back, but im not exactly sure what i deserve it for! i didnt actually help out at all. i gave plenty of moral support, but thats about it! i was wondering how many people signed up. its cool if theres loads! i wonder if many will turn up to events though

That night was absolutely brilliant. It was so good it would have been a great night out even without the gig. I reckon you should definitely put on more nights based on that. I love playing the Academy 3. Thanks everyone who said nice things about the Railway set, and everyone involved in putting us on in the 1st place. Also, it was really good that we got to play a decent set despite the soundchecks overruning, so thanks for not kicking us off. We appreciated that. When is the next one then?

(although the moral support from everyone was fab). i think we signed a couple of people up, not many but nevermind. me and craig got accosted by an aussie when we were wandering down in the basement cos he saw our t-shirts. so that was a good idea. also we plastered everyone with flyers so that may turn out to be productive. it really was a bloody great night. i was drunk on nothing but sheer adrenaline and it was sooooo good!!! had such a lovely time wandering around saying hi to everyone, and mingling with the bands a bit backstage (what a crappy backstage!) the bands were pretty damn good weren't they? i think overall we were denfinately one of the most successful rooms. certainly in the beginning we were one of the busiest rooms, and i'd say that throughout the night we were constantly busy. like the uni bloke said, we were the last to clear out, thanks to you die hard fans...awww clearing out to new york new york was the highlight of my night! only bad bit was the woman making us take down the stars in a nasty way. (well apart from seeing someone vomming in a sink and being groped both on my ass and my boobs) it was great to see people wandering around with our stars stuck to them though, especially the girl i saw taking a big shiney one home with her. wow. i can't wait to do another night. i hope they run it again next year. oh yeah, next time i vote we get scantily clad podium dancers and a big fucking inflatable globe. then we shall be unbeatable. well done everyone!!! i love you all!!! (special thanks to ben who brought me a brownie...mmmm brownie) who was the guy who asked us to auction our banner off for oxfam? i think his name was andrew. shall we?

ah fair enough. i didnt know of any other toms, which is why i thought he was talking about me! i dont know about the scantily clad podium dancers, i dont think they would fit the atmosphere. but we should definitely have beach balls (or some other inflatible objects) to whack around, festival style! new york new york was such a great way to finish! tev knows what hes doing. he played some great music (i seem to remember a ska version of the spiderman theme. pure genius!). all in all, a great night. words really cant explain just how amazing i found it all!
