I am happy as not only have I never been to an actual big festival before, I have never been to Leeds (the city). BONUS. I just hope Ben doesn't die of some freak accident in the near future as then my ticket may not be secure. its not actually in leeds so you might have to take that one off your list

ahh leeds is the best festival ever, bar glastonbury. i have never been to leeds, but i am willing to bet glasto is about a million times better. apart from the size of the bands playing, i think smaller festivals like truck could also be quite brilliant.

I've never been to a festival and not liked it.. therefore by simple logical reasoning (of which we are all capable) all festivals are great. fullstop.

Yeah, and on the last night it turns into an orgy of violence in which it doesn't pay to be a goth or an emo kid. Or a steward.

After having a shower, obviously.

last year we ended up waiting for ages in leeds city centre and went to a flashy italian restaurant there to pass the time. we were filthy and smelly but it was the most fun ever. leeds is awesome!

Oh god, don't get lost Julia. Though I'm almost certain you will. Yes yes, Leeds is ace. I was there yesterday - it was wonderful and made me pine for Yorkshire. I once had dinner in my favourite posh Italian restaurant there with a bunch of lawyers in suits while I wore holey jeans and a ripped shirt. It was AWESOME. (Though it's so long since I've been there they've CHANGED THE FUCKING NAME of the restaurant, boo) Anyway, off topic! I suggest we all crash teh Leedsfolks' houses and shower before Yorkshiring it up a bit afterwards. It'll be ace. I am a festie virgin so I hope you'll all be gentle with me....

I once saw a highly elaborate ballet interpretation of A Midsummer Night's Dream in Leeds. Excellent scenery and a live orchestra, and it was that night I heard The Coral's album for the first time. Consequently, Leeds is the best city in the known universe.

I think this means everyone is agreed that Leeds is the best place ever. As it should be.

it's weird reading my name mentioned so many times in this thread. i'm not quite sure whether i have any more spares though; if i do and anybody still needs them (i'll do some clever maths and count who i have given tickets to and how many i have left) ill offer them up...

Well, you do know that if you ever need a shoulder/soldier to cry on, I'm your man. My shoulder's always free, and I know at least one soldier.
