Well, i'm not a primary comic book fan, as I never buy them, however, my housemate, andrew, is, and i read his. My favourite comics are the Exiles series, and the amazing spider man.
I never thought I would admit to this to the world. Mum's the word yes?
;D

;D
i love you for this ben.
my favourite comics are the authority series, the league of extraordinary gentlemen, ghost world and global frequency. i also tend to read a lot of random dc/marvel comics as my dad collects them. ooooh, the gothic storyline in batman legends (i think that's what it's called anyway) was rather minty i must say.
hmm....i can't think of anything else to say. hmm...
ohohoh! i love bear!
he's bear! he's bear! he's made from human hair! poke his nose and his head grows! he's bear! HE'S BEAR! HE'S BEAR!

The Sandman. That's more of a graphic novel though. Delve into the depths of manga, and I'm torn between Negima!, Rayearth and Love Hina.

i'm sick to death of sodding comics, i also live with the aforementioned andrew and there are comics all over every bloody surface! i've read some of them and they're pretty much a load of rubbish. to me, a comic should at least be funny. my personal favourite is the dandy. so there.

That's more of a graphic novel though. Delve into the depths of manga, and I'm torn between Negima!, Rayearth and Love Hina. borrowed sandman off a flatmate last year. i thought it was beautiful. as for manga, i only really read two - fake and doll, the latter of which is wonderfully written and more thought provoking than you'd expect. the former is just an indulgence really ;D

i don't really see the point in graphic novels. if you wanna read, read a book. if you wanna look at pictures, watch a film. what the hell is the deal with manga and anime anyway? i watched some anime and it was like watching some japanese businessman have a fit. it was all crazy like it was made for kids with ADD who couldn't concentrate properly and was severely lacking in plot. yeah, lets battle against big scary lizzards...like the power rangers.

i agree with andrew on this one - comics are actually funny, as long as you pick the right ones. also, they're pretty edgy in places; they at least deal with semi-taboo issues of modern day, whereas your books lisa, deal with a lady showing too much leg in the 1800s or a priest wanting sex (Cause that never happens any more). Mark often reads the comics too, so that's a 5-1 majority with 1 abstainee. COMICS PASS.

can't beat AoA Xmen Alternate universe storyline * walks to geek corner of shame* Diceman, you are not alone. I share the secret shame. Thanks to childhood/teenage obsessions, I own the entire series with that goldy-gilt thing on the front. That phase is in the past though, although I haven't thrown the comics out. I figure that they are gaining literally £1000s in worth each year just sat in the attic. I'll be able to survive on Baked Beans should I ever reach retirement!

I don't read a lot of comics, and what i do read of MArvel doesn't impress me to be honest, EXiles is pretty cool, but not a huge fan. The comics i enjoy most, surprise, surprise, are Star Wars comics. (bet ya didn't see that coming! ) especially what i read of the Clone Wars and Rogue Squadron. I quite like how they don't concentrate on Anakin/OBi-wan or Luke/Leia/Han. But branch out to the background characters, like Wedge Antilles a character in all the OT films, or a random Jedi Knight in the PT. Now i'm really sounding like a nerd. But this is the secret geek society, I suppose. I wanna be in the Super geek team. I wanna be Browboy!!!!!!.

Harsh girl and Wogan boy. Do i hear the sound of a childrens tv series and inevitable spinoff movie that will collapse at the box office?

somehow i doubt that lisa would be able to stand me for long enough to make a whole tv series, let alone a film. She'd end up killing me with her razor-sharp insults, and my titanium toupée would collapse under the barrage of taunts.
