Amen Mark. Harsh Girl, we should join forces to bring order to the galaxy.

never! although i would be prepared to join forces in a spin off show, a kind of cross between the x-factor and eurovision, where we just slag off all the prospective eurovision entries. but that would be too easy.

Can i join your geek team too? One of my best friends used to regularly go round the comic shops in Birmingham, and i often went along too and looked at the err Magic cards. Don't tell anyone though. I used to read quite a few of his comics too. There was a particularly cool one called "Johnny The Homicidal Maniac". Battle Royale is superb, as said previously.

Ive never been big into comics, but I used to read the Beano when i was younger, and i still watch the original X-men series, but the worst and definatly geekiest thing was that i used to be into Warhammer! thats the hobbie where you buy assemble and paint little fictional military figureines and then play war games with them.... I had a distinct lack of self respect. Now I realise that was the biggest mistake of my life, if anyone reading this still plays warhammer, then SHAME ON YOU! unless you actually play that ridiculously sad game you are simply not geeky enough to be called a geek, thankfully i no longer fit into that catagory

Secret Geek Society Assemble!!! spiderman 3 is due for release may 2007. anyone care to speculate on the badguy? Personally, i'm praying for venom/carnage or possibly ben reilly/kaine/jackal storyline
btw, how about the acronym JLM (Justice League of Manchester)

One of the bad guys is Sandman. Personally, I am looking forward to X-men 3. I am such an X-geek... I can't wait.

The carnage/venom thing wouldnt work, its too over complicated for hollywood and its not really a bad guy, its just a gloopy suit thingy from outer space that posses people, i think thats been done. Im reckoning it maybe the doc conners/ lizard guy type scenario, kingpin? possibly it will revolve around the jameson trying to get spiderman and thus creating scorpion out of that weedy guy?

X-men 3: 26/05/06 ;D (heh sorry)
Anyway the only comic/graphic novel i have right now is Batman: The Long Halloween. Which is really good. I want to get some Green Lantern stuff but dont really know where to start, the film of Ghost World is amazing but havent read the comic, same with American Splendor, and well all Neil Gaiman (Sandman author) is amazing.
Also i may actually kill* for the Coheed And Cambria comics.
*All killing is only fictional and does not bare any resemblance to any person living or dead. No animals were harmed in the making of this post

No i havent. I really want one though, was gonna buy one last time they played but they sold out really quick unsurprisingly (and you cant go through a gig with a comic it'd get ruined)! and they were only selling one and there's now 3.
Theyre playing again with thrice in february. Havent got my ticket yet though...probably should.

I guess it still makes me a geek though. I have gone right off the X-men comics recently, they are ridiculous. But the movies are good. The official site should start putting info up soon, but another good place to check news out is the X-verse... I check it everyday... some time more than once... only 176 days to go! www.thexverse.com/www.x3movie.com/

Oh, and for anyone interested, new characters this time include:
Beast Juggernaut Emma Frost Artie Dark Pheonix Callisto Moira McTaggert Angel Multiple Man Omega Red etc etc
Plus, more of the original cast too. Everyone is back, even Halle Berry. She didn't want to come back because she didn't think she had enough air time. But this time, she'll be flying around as Storm and such. Ian McKellen is back (Magneto - Yey) with Rebecca Rojimn (Mystique - YEY) and Pyro and also the good guys who are less fun, i.e Pat Stewart, Hugh Jackman, Rogue, Iceman, Collossus, Cyclops...

I cant say ive actually read the comics im afraid However the major cartoon series of it (not the newer teenager one, although watched that when had the ability to) was definately something that kept me going through the years it was on. That and the spiderman one. In a word: Quality. And to add to that apparently Beast is in it quite a lot.

And to add to that apparently Beast is in it quite a lot. He is indeed, and Kelsey 'Fraiser' Grammer is playing him. The UK's very own Vinnie Jones is the Juggernaut, who also will be heavily featured.

hmmm not really seeing Ol' Vinnie as the Juggernaut but still we'll see. I have my hopes up, and yes Kelsey Grammer should be very good!
