HOTTER than Julian Casablancas in a Jacuzzi with Debbie Harry, The
Horror The Horror are arguably Sweden's finest export.
They blend the catchy, raucous sounds of Television and Velvet
Underground with pop hooks that call on the best of Belle & Sebastian.
Rough Trade said:
"They have fresh tunes that stick in your head after just one play. The
sound is very precise and minimal, The Horror The Horror have a massive
future."
Manchester's Piccadilly Records made the album their record of the
week:
“Ok this is big news; a Swedish band that have, in the space of a double
A-side 7", managed to distil the coolest music from the last 30 years or
so. With their blend of influences including early New York punk bands
such as Television, The Modern Lovers and Velvet Underground as well as
the British indie scene of the early nineties, The Horror The Horror have
developed a unique sound highly appraised by audiences and critics all
over Sweden, and now they're ready for the rest of the world!!!"
Support comes from Manchesters own The Vox & Movement and St Helen's newcomers The Ups.
