RICK WITTER and The Dukes
With Exist, The Ups and Underdogs
Saturday 13th May?Club Nirvana, Clarence Yard, Wigan?Doors 8.00pm?Entry £8
Ex-Shed Seven frontman Rick Witter is back with a brand new band an 21 date tour which takes in Wigan on the 13th May when they play Club Nirvana.
Shed Seven split in December 2003 after a career which spanned ten years and saw them achieve fifteen consecutive top forty hit singles, including Going For Gold, Chasing Rainbows and Getting Better.
The new outfit, Rick Witter and the Dukes head to Wigan’s Club Nirvana and will be playing a mixture of new material and Shed Seven classics. To coincide with the tour, the band have recorded exclusive tracks that are available to download for free at www.rickwitter.com
The Dukes also feature Rob Wilson on guitar, Stuart Fletcher (ex Seahorses) on bass and Matt Lunn (ex Colour Of Fire) on drums. Immediately after the tour, they’ll enter the studio to record their debut album, set for release Autumn 2006.
Support on the night comes from the hotly tipped West Midlands outfit, Exist who were recently described as “an absolutely astounding band to fall in love with” by The Fly magazine. Joining them are St Helen’s The Ups and Preston’s Underdogs.
Tickets for the gig are priced £8 and available in person from Smiths, Alans, Music 90 and Club Nirvana and online at www.ticketline.co.uk, www.seetickets.com and www.wegottickets.com or by phone on 0161 832 1111.
