The Grovel pub in Whitworth Park Halls brings us a night of local bands, one of which is Noia, who I support wholeheartedly (nowt to do with the fact that the singer is also my flatmate, and that she's bigger than me).
The Grovel serves cider for a pound a pint! The fun starts at some point around 7pm, methinks. This Saturday. Free entry, cheap drinks, live music. You know it makes sense.

You can get in through Grove House without a key. The security guy's always watching soaps on his portable TV, he won't even blink if you walk in the main dooors and down the stairs.

Come on...the Grovel may be a glorified youth club, but it's free...It's where I go to watch sky TV and play pool badly, and it's not without it's charms.

i think i will be going to 65DOS, so i wont be there. But it's a tenner! I don't want to see 65DOS for a tenner, that's twice the usual cost. That said, they are great, it's just the price I don't like. |
