*Ahem* Ummmm Ah... Well... Yeah... I'm going to be "busy" for a while. By some amazing coincidence I predict that I'll be avaliable again the second they stop showing Hostel at the cinema. Oh darn, I've just lost my eyesight. Looks like there'll be no Hostel for me! Ho hum... I'll watch this when I'm 43 and not before. I get the feeling you are just making excuses...

it is, thats why i prefer horror films that show you very little. in my opinion, the human mind can come up with things that are far more gruesome than anything that will ever be shown on a cinema screen. therefore, if they show you everything, its just boring. but if they leave a lot to your imagination, then it can totally freak you out. not only by what you are actually imagining, but the fact that you are able to imagine it. i also have a similar attitude towards porn, but thats another story....

true. there arent enough good psychological horrors around. the thing about gory films is its only recently that special effects have managed to make anything look remotely realistic. even now, theres still a lot of stuff they cant make look very real. if you watch a gory horror film from more than 10 years back, theyre really just funny, as the effects are so poor.

Well, it didn't quite live up to my expectations laid out by Owen. I didn't even throw up and I had at least 5 Cadbury's caramels I bought off that scally woman in town. I liked some of the totures, and the idea is quite interesting, but i thought the ending was a cop out and you didn't see enough! I suppose the are saving all the extra stuff for a sequel...

i am so very disasppointed, i was more scared before it started. it was fun going through the girls toilets afterwards and seeing how traumatised they all were. but scary? no. gory? not overly so. i still hold that return to oz beats ANY scary film, ever. i haven't even seen the end, it's that terrifying.

Um, there's this guv'nor made of rock, turning everyone into everyday objects until they realise that the ones that are green are the ones that were previously people. The chicken lays an egg in senor rock's mouth....eggs happen to be poisonous to rockin' fellows so they all die. Everything's hunky dory in Oz, Dorothy wakes up, it was a dream, OR WAS IT?!?!? Probably not.

Just saw it in my flat-mate's room, and it really was gore-ful (as in full of gore). It wasn't scary, but it was still good family entertainment!
