Yeah, to be zombies, one must be dead first. Technically, this isn't a zombie film. It's a disaster film, like The Poseidon Adventure, stroke horror, stroke psychological thriller, and it has the best soundtrack in recent memory, it got me into Godspeed all those years ago.

I have the soundtrack to this film, it is brilliant. I love 'In the house - in a heartbeat' which is the music played over the last scene in the mansion. I notice it has been used on BBC ads once or twice, it really is a great piece of music.
EDIT Also, did anyone prefer the alternative ending? I loved it! Then again, I like endings like that... I really like this film.

Fucking terrifying film. Watched it with my flatmate Lizzie, and we were disgusted but mesmerised by the rather graphic opening scenes. I think I like it. I'm not quite sure.

the opening sequence is quite simply breath-taking. i cant remember the music from it, which is a pity. if i had paid more attention to it, i might have got into godspeed ages ago. i really thought it got a bit crap towards the end. i couldnt really work out what was supposed to be going on, and it seemed a bit stupid.

I saw this film when it was released and then bought the dvd in London before it was released in Spain, so you notice how much I liked it. I'm a big fan of Danny Boyle, I can't help it. Of course you have seen Trainspotting and The Beach, what about Shallow Grave?? Rob, what's the alternative ending? I'm sorry but I have to talk about Cillian Murphy as well. Isn't he a good actor? I have seen him in 28 days later, in The Girl with the Pearl Earring and in Intermission, and I think he is quite good (and handsome!!)

28 days later was surprisingly good, surprising because i don't tend to go for horror flicks but this really had deep undertones of a political sense, i reckon.... i mean, does anyone think that the message was that we're all getting infection by a brainwashng rage as we speak??? or am i reading too much into it???

Yeah, Land of the Dead comments on the segregation between the rich and the poor. It also considers the difference between "surviving" and "living". The implication is that the zombies are "living" and the humans are merely "surviving". And it has Dennis Hopper.

personally i didnt care that sex wasn't shown, i recall that you made that bit up Random. I also REALLY liked the movie, as opposed to it being "okay". I think the most important part of the movie was the realisation that the world had isolated us. We had the impression early on that it was a worldwide thing, but in the end we are just a small, infected island. quite interesting.
