yep, 29th, indie vs [raw]: the rematch! same deal as last time- £1 to all you members £2 before 11pm, £3 after 11pm to everyone else @mutz nutz (princess street) lets make this another ace night, bring everyone you know, fall in love with people you've never met before, dance, drink till you pass out (hehe..), cringe at the photographic evidence, kick the shit out of people dancing to new york new york...you know how it goes... (don't forget to enter the dj competition!)

i advocate a new song at the end of the night rather than NY,NY. I know it's so good they named it twice, but REALLY! we could end on something anthemic in a different way...

Clearly you should end with a Midland Railway song. It would encourage lots of people to head for the exits, and the venue staff would love you for it.

i think we should finish with the proper national anthem rather than that radiohead malarkey... we could all line up and mouth the words badly like footballers....

Yet you demanded last time that the Welsh national anthem be played? That's a bit Xenophobic Tom!

...........The English national anthem? which one is that then? It'd be more likely we played God save the Queen, which is the national anthem of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. (not England alone). They sing it at the olympics, so it must be true.
But asides that point, I doubt it would be a good end to a club night. Also, I doubt radiohead would work well, it needs to be a bit more cheesy, well known, and something that everyone can dance like an idiot to...

wow i havent heard that since primary school disco - probably for good reason I never did any of that shit. I hated my school so much (and a lot of the people in it) I didn't go to my prom either... I and one other person were summoned to our head of year for being anti-social and not coming! The cheek! I'll choose exactly what I want to do. Peer pressure is bad, but when you get it from an old french teacher, argh! I didn't give in, and the prom was shit, by all accounts. Fuck them!

Don't worry Rob, I was the only person not to attend our end of year prom; everybody in our year went. Even the ugly geeks got a sham couple together with an ugly geek from the other school. It was couples only so I wasnt going on my own. Bastards. I shall wreak my revenge by being a populist and beecoming an icon in Manchester. That'll teach them.
Apparently some kid who I used to hate and used to hate me who lives at home has heard from friends how I set up the society etc etc and is now claiming how good friends we were.
Fucking twat, that's half the reason I wasn't friends with him. Sycophantic scumbag.

How about ending with Massive Attack-Teardrop? I think I can just about listen to it now...
Or Joe Strummer & the mescaleros-Redemption song?
No No NO!! The Jam-Beat Surrender! ;D

massive attack might work quite well. my set ends with lemon jelly- nice weather for ducks, which i think would be an awesome song to finish with, as long as people know it and have a sense of humour.
