Wednesday 7th December - Bowling!

As most of our events have been centered on or around alcohol so far, we thought we'd do something for the non-alcoholics among us. So we're going bowling!

The place is in West Didsbury which is on the number 42 bus route. We'll keep you posted on exact times (it'll be in the evening) and provide more directions nearer the time, but for now, who's with us?

it's a long time away so i can't say fer sure, but i'd probably be in...do we still get cheapo bowling with our snap faxes? i need to get a new one...

i grabbed a new snapfax today from some people. apparently you get 1 totally free game of bowling including shoe hire, or 3 games for £5 including shoe hire. Sunday to Thursday until 30.6.06
I'm not sure if we could use that in our booking if we booked it, but once we do book it, i'll ask about use of snap faxes, cause it'd be cheaper for us all

okay then, who else wants to come with us? it'll be lots of fun if more people go. we'd like to get an idea for numbers please, so we can get it organised and booked. you know you wanna bowl. everyone loves those little clown shoes they give you.

i have a snapfax, but bowling doesnt appeal to me at all, even if it is free!

aw come on...i hate bowling (this is lisa speaking) but im still going. it won't cost much (if anything) so who cares! you know you want to spend time with us, don't be a spoil sport! stop spoiling our sports!! hehe.

i don't think that anyone actually likes bowling...its just something to do that isn't a bar. i'm sure we'll have a laugh. you gotta bowl. we'll put the little sides up if you want. we've been bowling before and none of us are any good.

well im planning on just going to the bar there (assuming i go, and assuming there is a bar there).
im not going to humiliate myself putting those rail things up. id prefer every single ball to go in the gutter (not that i will actually be throwing any balls).

I've only actually made it to 1 event so far, so I'll deffo come to the bowling. I went to the bowling club in 1st and 2nd year. And I'm still shit.

Ok, so here's the plan!
The indie society will be meeting at 7pm at Owen's Park (Fallowfield Campus) bar, and heading off when we think everyone's arrived. Depending on how many people turn up, we may be able to pay for one or both of your games (but only if you bring your student card and indie soc card!), but you're going to have to pay for shoe hire. I think it's only like 70p or something. So, basically, the whole outing will cost you at most £3. Which ain't too bad for a couple of games of bowling!
Hope to see you all there. If you don't know how to get to Owen's Park, take a 42,43,etc. bus down away from Picadilly, past Rusholme/the curry mile. Once you're out of Rusholme it's a couple of stops after that. You can't miss it; there's a massive 17 storey tower, called er, tower.

based on my current thinking, i probably wont be coming tonight. im very sorry, but i have work to do, am really tired, and thursday is my (very) heavy day.
i know it probably wont be going on that late, but i dont trust ben not to drag people back to his house again!

i know. i had work to do, but it seems i cant do a large portion of it (nothing at all to do with the number of lectures i missed last week, honest). and im quite tired, but i can live with being tired, ive had to do it enough recently.
it would be antisocial not to go anyway
