Oh yes, polyphonic sppree must be played. I recommend Hold Me Now because it induces a state of almost unbearable euphoria.

Obviously, the older version of soldier girl is almost unrecognisable. Still rocks though. It soundtracks those days that are so hot it's untrue, where you walk around in a haze and think "how the fuck did I get here?"

Just in case anyone doesn't know where they are going... Also, I am stealing Jake's idea. Someone please fade 'Cracked LCD' by Ladytron into Performance's 'Live a Little'. They must have been made to be faded in!

hows about some sons and daughters (scottish, not welsh, but never mind), some bedoin soundclash to skank to?? Failing that, Graham Coxon always makes me happy.

i have to say, Super Furry Animals are on the flyer. it would be criminal if they arent played now. god knows how many people will flock from miles around to hear them being played. you wont want to let them down, do you?

You see this is why i changed my mind about making a requests thread ages ago, so many requests and too little time!
|
|
|
Post by Ben on Mar 1, 2006 19:27:28 GMT 1
this is why we *didn't* make a requests thread because i knew this would happen i feel like i'm just going to upset you all by not playing your requests. Personally when i'm DJing i'm going to be taking box requests, so hassle me, cause i havent been reading this thread carefully.

ben, i will say this once and only once: radiohead- idioteque SFA- juxtaposed with you. mix them well and that is the perfect segue (i think thats the right word)

Post by Ben on Mar 1, 2006 19:34:11 GMT 1
were not playing idioteque. were trying to play as few songs as possible that we played at pangaea, mixing it up yo' and all that. I saw SFA in the union today in my 5 minutes of freedom (no, i didn't play pool Arron) on TV. that song in fact. and it's hardly a dancy song, is it?
