well, that wasn't bad as far as nights go. i can't believe i danced to the birdy song like a goddamn granny. all credibility lost forever. although i did end the night 2 t-shirts better (or worse, depending on how you look at it) off than when it started. we won the quiz!!! well done team daniel bedingfield (or david bedingfield as he shall forever be known from now on). i think more quiz nights should be done. less pool...just another chance to show myself up

All in all a good night methinks! And thank you for the pizza! The pool wasnt very successful to be fair. It took too long and made people miss out on the quiz.

The chinese was the best ever! I'd much rather be out eating than out drinking.
What would everyone think to a society meal? Curry, Chinese? Any other suggestions?

Last night was great... I got to play both pool AND the quiz, take photos of Tev and Lisa dancing to the Birdy Song as well as Ben and Elaine crossing cues, then cheap cocktails and waitress service plus a chinese meal (mmm crispy seaweed). Shall we go for a curry next week instead?

Indie Soc Curry/chineese sounds good! We could have a meal as a seperate thing rather than a 'go for a sit down meal while drunk' thing....I'unno...
Crispy seaweed is tasty. very tasty.

i entered...(and won) an eating contest once. but it was "who can eat their muller fruit yogurt with the most etiquette and in the quickest time"...
we were bored and at some oxford college open day.

Oh, well we can't do it next Monday, because I forgot to take 5th Avenue into account... although, curry after 5th Ave sounds interesting... are we still making room for one or two cocktails after the music quiz and before 5th Ave?

is etiquette quantifiable, or did they just mean "without spilling it all down your top"?

On the food thing, it's gotta be an ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D INDIE-AN!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
I'll apologise when someone thinks of a wittier play on words (granted that's not very long...)

Can you not get away with sticking 'Indie' in Chinese? Or is that just stupid? ChINDIEse?

It really depends on when this meal is done. If its in the day and not after going out then we could split up and those that want chinese go to the No 1 Oriental buffet, but those that want indian go about 10 yards down the road to the indian buffet on the corner. Personally my vote is chinese!

Splitting up sort've goes against the point in having a society meal. What about this?
Something for everyone?
