Does anyone know a rhyme to remember the numbers of pi? I read one once - if you take the number of letters in each word they give you the first x numbers after the decimal place, in order...

How I need a drink, alcoholic of course, after the heavy lectures involving quantum mechanics however, *THIS* is fantastic: users.aol.com/s6sj7gt/mikerav.htmit's not identical to the original, but my god, it's incredbly well done.

I find it easier to remember the numbers. With the mnenomic you have to work out the numbers anyway, so you're just making more work for yourself, because if you get a word wrong it makes a big difference...

Thank goodness calculates have that lovely Pi button.
And it is a mnenomic device, not a mnenomic! I think the word 'mnenomic' is under-used. 'tis very cool... oh, that gives me an idea - go to random chat!

Stop spelling "mnemonic" wrongly! It makes me a sad panda. I picked 3.14 because I thought it was funny...oh noes, am I on the turn towards the way of science?

Apologies... just noticed the m and n... I really do need a mnemonic device to spell mnemonic.

I'll forgive you....this time. Although if it happens again, I feel I should warn you that you may well have dictionaries lobbed in your general direction.

me, vote for pi? fuck no! as i clearly stated, i voted for the humble pork pie. apparently a girl from work had a friend whose job it was to inject the jelly into pork pies. how depressing is that?
