well, i think that was pretty good, success to the plough! good venue for beforehand chats...the ivories were decent, especially for a girl band, and i know that sounds terrible but its what you were all thinking...shame the guitarist was a minger eh boys?...is she a sister or something? cos it looks liked they all sort of roped together a band. as for milburn, well, i thought they were a fun live band, quite charismatic and the little pit was ace i have to say. but not sure if i'd bother to listen to them on record or get into them. as for the music afterwards, not too shabby but coulda been better. and yes the mad case with the glow sticks was our infamous housemate random. legend. hope his dancing didn't scare anyone too much. bless.

wasn't terribly impressed with milburn as such. they were certainly decent enough, butthey didnt stand out enough to me, at least. the ivories were pretty good too, yeah, to be fair they only caught my eye because the frontwoman was pretty though.. I hope everyone had a good night. I did, and I'm still up for my 9am lectures. Hardcore.

mwahahah i have been sleeping up until now. i like that the first thing i do is come on here. i had a wicked night, milburn were quite fun, though i didnt want to mess up my hair in the mosh pit ;0
i spent most of my time dancing with random, who had a glow stick hanging out of his mouth.

yeah, the indie soc forum is a compulsive thing i blame us for the fall of british sea power, i mean, i blame us for causing people not to do work. And yes, Random is very odd, but what a guy! Managing to converse with god knows how many people and keep them entertained. I was quite, quite jealous, of course. Maybe it was the glow sticks. Perhaps they are some female magnet..?

Last night was very fun. Can't say I was blown over by Milbrun though. And it is a shame the club lost so much energy after the bands. I was in such a mood to dance! I get kinda put off when people are just standing around. However, it was great company and nice to see a good turn out.

i thought it was fuuuun. comparisons with the arctic monkeys were not unfounded, but despite this, the bands firmly avoided being good or very good. though they weren't bad. if you get me. then again, i didn't watch or assess the bands in a very thorough way (do i really belong in this society?)...i instead spent a lot of time having conversations in the toilets and corridor. always the best places to meet people. and for those of you i did meet, cheers for the lending of the hat and half a glowstick. sorted.

it would be a good place to go to if it ever takes off, its cheap to get in and drink, and it has a nice decor, (i've always wanted to use that in a sentence it is a pity that it was a bit dead after the bands.

plus, i met a MORMON! sitting, reading about Freud at a table. where else but Club NME would you find that..?
actually, mormonism sounds rather appealing. he spent two years cycling around taiwan in a white shirt telling people what he thought the meaning of life was (admittedly, you have to give the answer as God)

My friend once told me Mormons believe God comes from the planet Mormon... obviously a joke, yes? Well, of course it is, but I was so feeble I believed this for six months and told countless many people. What a tit I felt like when it was revealed as fabrication!

what i really want to say will probably be censored under laws of political correctness, but i will tell you that i ordered a Free Mormon Bible over the telephone and there was a picture of a beaming Jesus with twinkly blue eyes and light brown hair. like, WHAT?? He came from Palestine. you muppets.
